Tree cultivation

Tree cultivation is the branch of horticulture that deals with growing woody crops and plants. There is a wide variety of crops, such as avenue trees, native crops, ornamental shrubs, walnut trees and shrubs. We also have the right netting solutions for these crops to protect them. Netting that are used in tree cultivation can be divided as follows:

Insect netting

A good solution is to cover the soil with a fine-mesh insect netting from the beginning of June to the end of September. On the one hand, to prevent hazelnut borer and walnut borer fly from escaping from the soil. On the other hand, to prevent the larvae, which fall from the fruits to the ground, from burrowing in and pupating. The larvae that hatch from the eggs in the nuts are only a few millimetres long. An insect screen with a mesh size of 1 mm is therefore sufficient.

Screen netting

There is a choice of different types of screens, each with its own screen percentage and weight. For example, we have screen netting that are made of strong monofoil wires, but also screen netting that consist of both monophile wires and tape. In addition, there are also types of screen screens that only consist of tape or tape. In short, you can say that the more tape used, the higher the screen.

Windbreak netting

Windbreak netting also play an important role in tree cultivation. By fencing the plot with windbreak netting, the wind is reduced by 50%. In this way, damage to the trees is prevented.

Climate net

Young tree crops in particular need protection against the cold, hail and frost in winter. This can be done by covering the ground with a climate net.

Support

To support young crops, there is the Carnea Plus support netting.

Harvest nets

In addition, we also have various netting solutions that are used to harvest the nuts. Harvest netting make harvesting easier and save labor. The nets are slipped or stretched under the trees and catch the falling nuts; the nuts stay clean, dry and are thus easily collected.
