It requires a clean environment where there must be no cross-pollination; so no foreign pollen or pollen. Breeding develops the seeds of the future, so that requires meticulous and clean work.
Seed breeding companies often opt for mesh cages when they want to isolate insect pollinators or wind pollinators. Wire mesh cages can be supplied with or without construction using different insect screens. Depending on the type of pollinator and the desired application, a specific mesh cage will be developed.
